MEET YOUR GUIDES
ISAAC
Isaac Koren is committed to serving transformation through creative expression. His passion is to hold space for people to realize and embody their innate value through the mirror of songwriting.
In a twenty year partnership with his brother Thorald Koren, Brothers Koren have toured the world in various projects (The Kin, Bråves and Fransancisco) to over one million people and earned a gold record, multiple record deals and now have a thriving business as artist developers, speakers and journeymen.
Isaac studied philosophy and music at Sydney University and earned a scholarship to finish with honors at North Eastern University in Boston. He went on to study Jazz Vocals at the New School in NYC. His study of what he calls, ‘Musical Cosmology’, started twenty years ago in Boston and continues to be the focus of his attention today, through the Songwriters Journey and Your Big Voice.
THE BROTHERS KOREN
Thorald and Isaac Koren are on a mission to hear the World’s song, one Big Voice at a time. With over twenty years of teaching, performing and transformational leadership, these two coaches and mentors are expanding the space for creative expression and leading people towards a more embodied life experience.
Over the course of their musical careers as The Kin and The Brothers Koren, they are grateful to have experienced performing live on Conan, earning a Gold Record and performing to over a million people while touring with Coldplay, Pink, Rod Stewart and Bon Jovi.
In collabortion with Ken Rockwood of Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, the brothers are sharing their next chapter of music through their new indie folk duo, Francisco.
THORALD
Thorald Koren is a voice and behavioral coach, multi instrumentalist, member of the brother duo Fransansisco, and is part of the writer/producer team Bråves.
Along with his brother Isaac, As a part of The Kin, he toured the world as both a headliner and alongside the likes of P!NK, Coldplay, Bon Jovi, and Rod Stewart, and the band’s music was featured in major movies, led to an appearance on Conan, and got them signed to Interscope/ Universal Records.
During his early career, Thorald experienced critical Obsessive compulsive disorder, which debilitated him and his ability to be fully present as himself in his life. After hitting bottom, Thorald slowly found a pathway through the madness. He created ‘Voice as a whole body instrument’ as a response to what he discovered. His experience has given him an intimate knowledge of the workings of the human brain and the emotional body.
As a vocal producer, Thorald coaches people on forming a new relationship to their brain, body and voice, guiding them to become “comfortably uncomfortable” with their own biological Alarm systems, therein allowing themselves to be radically free to express themselves fully and powerfully, and be present to the experience of singing.
